CandidShopper LLC and its affiliates ("CandidShopper", "we", "us" or "our") respects the privacy of our users ("you" or "your"). Payment Information. If you provide payment information like a credit card number or bank account, it is collected and processed by third party payment processors. While we do not store sensitive financial information like credit card numbers directly, we do collect tax identification numbers and IRS W-9 forms from Shoppers. These are required for legal and tax purposes related to independent contractor payments. We take care to store this information securely and only share it with service providers as needed for processing contractor payments.

Profile Information. Depending on your account type, we may collect additional profile information like shopping preferences, availability, biography, and social media account handles. This helps match you to relevant assignments.

Communications. If you contact us directly by phone, email or otherwise, we collect information in those communications like your name, account details, and message content.

1.2 Information Generated Through Use of Services

Usage Information. We collect information about your use of the Services like pages visited, buttons clicked, features accessed, and browsing device information. This helps us provide and improve the Services.

Location Information. We may collect approximate location information from your device to provide location-based services. You can disable location sharing through your device settings.

Log Files. Our servers automatically log information like your IP address, browser type, operating system, referral URLs and device information. This is used to monitor and improve the Services.

If you interact with a Client through our Services, they may provide us information about you like order information, survey responses and reviews. This information is used to fulfill Client requests and assignments.

If you are a shopper, we share your reports and other information generated in the course of completing assignments with the applicable clients. We require clients to use this data only for the purpose provided and not resell or share it further. Shopper contact information like name and address is not provided.

3.3 Advertising Partners

We share aggregated, anonymized usage data with select advertising partners like Google Ads. This does not include information that identifies you personally or as an individual user. You can opt out of personalized ads in your browser or device settings.

3.4 Business Transactions

If CandidShopper undergoes a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or other transaction involving the transfer of some or all of our assets or operations, we may disclose or transfer your information as part of that process. You will be notified of any such event.

3.5 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation or other government authority, to comply with a subpoena or court order, or to protect legal rights and property.

13. Notice to Nevada Residents

CandidShopper does not currently sell your covered information as those terms are defined under applicable Nevada law. However, you may still submit an opt-out request and we will honor that request as required by Nevada law if CandidShopper were to ever engage in such a sale in the future. If you are a Nevada resident and would like to opt-out of future sales of your covered information, please submit your request to info@candidshopper.com. You may also be required to take reasonable steps as we determine from time to time in order to verify your identity and/or the authenticity of the request. CandidShopper will respond to your request within sixty (60) days either confirming that your request has been processed or indicating that we need an additional thirty (30) days to complete the request.

14. California Privacy Rights / "Shine the Light" law

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as S.B. 27) allows California residents to request from companies conducting business in California certain information relating to third parties to which the company has disclosed certain categories of personal information during the preceding year for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Alternatively, the law provides that a company may comply, as CandidShopper does, by disclosing in its privacy policy that it provides consumers choice (opt in or opt out) regarding sharing personal information with third parties for those third parties’ direct marking purposes, and information on how to exercise that choice. As stated in this Privacy Policy, CandidShopper provides you choice prior to sharing your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you do not opt-in or if you opt-out at the time we offer that choice, we do not share your information with that identified third party for its direct marketing purposes.
